Gardening | Germination doesn’t have to be a natural process
G enerally seeds need warmth, moisture and light to germinate, but not always. Sometimes they require something more. Seeds with a thick hard coat may need to go through a freeze-thaw cycle or two, a bird or animal’s digestive system, a warm moist period or even fire to penetrate the seed’s coat and break its dormancy. Mother Nature provides all of these conditions with time.
